in the end, you know, it’s
just being there
and staying there

staying in
place
until death or retirement
or the discovered peccadillo do you part

vegetarians, libertarians, authoritarians
donkeys and elephants
democrats and republican
left,
right,
left-of-center,
right-of-center,
center,
all redundancy

what it’s really all about
is
incumbency.
