Who Really Caused The Recession?

'Twas less than three short years ago
Recession reared its head;
Back then all knew who brought this blight
And the greed on which it fed.

It was Wall Street that was at fault,
A truth none could deny;
There was agreement coast to coast,
"They'll pay," was people's cry.

But step by step a change was wrought
By minions of The Street;
It meant there'd be no punishment
For this entrenched elite.

They trashed the left, they bought the pols,
Revved up Tea Party screetchers;
And spun a new recession tale
In which perps were - school teachers!
