Fifteen Feet Beneath Manhattan by Michael Silverstein

"Nowadays, you can't turn on the TV without some talking head telling you about the economy. Yet, in a world overrun by 'analysts,' only one man has the guts, the brains, and, quite frankly, the poetry to put it all in perspective.That man is Michael Silverstein... Silverstein is a true intellectual." — Gersh Kuntzman, The New York Post

"Few people have found much to laugh about in the stock market this year. Michael Silverstein is the exception. The Bard of the Bourse can find humor in losing money, globalization and stock options." — USA Today

About Silverstein's Verse

A well-known insurance CEO recently transferred ownership of $2.2 bllion (that’s billion with a ‘b’) worth of stock to his wife before being sacked by his board and refusing to answer questions at a congressional hearing. Talk about true love...

A Wall Street
Love Poem

How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways:
I love thee for the wealth you’ve helped put out of reach
Of courts—for my nasty ethics breach;
I love thee for thy coolness, ne’er showing a twitch
When before Congress I was taking the Fifth;
I love thee for accepting a suspect gift
That some would see as backhand grift;
I love thee for not complaining ‘bout billions
Though I’d lied when I told you I‘d assets worth trillions;
And I know, once off the media’s rack
I shall love thee but more—if you give it all back
