The Too Big
To Fail Poem
Banks in Asia buy our T bonds
As a courtesy, a sop,
To a debt addicted customer
They fear to give the chop.
(Let em worry,
Whine and rail,
We are just too big to fail.)
Both borrower and lenders see
Good reasons for this prop;
The latter dresses up its books,
The former likes to shop.
(They must always
Our debt bail,
We are just too big to fail.)
Can this set up last forever?
Will there always be this swap?
Only nervous nellies question,
Fear some day it has to stop.
(Its a slam dunk,
A smooth sail,
We are just too big to fail.)
