a recovery
wall street, D.C.
purport to see
has passed by me

 no added pleasing
just lots of teasing
more anguished squeezing
no trace of easing 

same old refrain
no end to pain
no worry wane
each day a drain

a frank confessing
made sans aggressing
my own regressing
sure ain't recessing
