Volume is again surging at online trading firms as short-term players, including day traders (remember them?) are coming back into the market. The little guy is returning at the same time that insiders are cashing out. When did we see this one before?

Johnny Begins
To Trade Again

As Johnny begins to trade again
Hurrah, hurrah
Rejoining the Wall Street parade again
Hurrah, hurrah
The brokers rejoice and the cable touts cheer
The analysts help with their jollying fare
And they all wax short-term
As Johnny begins to trade

da-dum
da-dum
da-dum, da-dum, da-dum

When the boys on The Street started beating their drum
Hurrah, hurrah
The kids at The Fed said lets join in the fun
Hurrah, hurrah
Now everyone says a recovery's here
We'll march to the future without any fear
And we'll all be wealthy
As Johnny begins to trade

da-dum
da-dum
da-dum, da-dum, da-dum

Insiders are dumping their overpriced stock
Hurrah, hurrah
In this game with profits they've always a lock
Hurrah, hurrah
Poor saps whose stock holdings ain't sig-nificant
Believed that this time it will be dif-ferent
Soon they'll all be poorer
'Cause Johnny began to trade

dah-dumb
dah-dumb
dah-dumb, dah-dumb, dah-dumb...

"Nowadays, you can't turn on the TV without some talking head telling you about the economy. Yet, in a world overrun by 'analysts,' only one man has the guts, the brains, and, quite frankly, the poetry to put it all in perspective. That man is Michael Silverstein... Silverstein is a true intellectual." — Gersh Kuntzman, The New York Post

"Few people have found much to laugh about in the stock market this year. Michael Silverstein is the exception. The Bard of the Bourse can find humor in losing money, globalization and stock options." — USA Today
