There was a time when Wall Street, and its best-known institutions, were held in high regard by most Americans. How have even the mightiest on The Street now fallen...
He Walked To Work
At Goldman Sachs
He walked to work at Goldman Sachs
At crack of dawn each bus’ness day,
Convinced securities he backed
Would win the biggest market play,
It seemed no inside facts he lacked
'Cause what he hyped got up and quacked.
One stock pick flaw that paid out less
That failed this guru's hint remit,
Could raise a cry of great distress
Among the clients who took the hit,
But he with streetwise insights blessed
By market slides seemed never bit.
And from those lips, and out that mouth
Came soothing sounds, so soft and purry,
Of deals assured to ne’er go south
And risks which would not make one sorry,
All on The Street for him did vouch
"Trust him," 'twas said, "With him, no worry."
