A few weeks ago I wrote a poem about the frenzied and fearful efforts of government officials and Wall Street heavies to save Fannie and Freddie from causing a total market meltdown. This weekend the same crew is doing a repeat performance with another market heavy, Lehman Brothers. You don't have to be a prophet to know this won't be the last time this spooky scene is played out in weeks and months to come...

Frightened Little Men
(Again)

They meet again, the frightened men
A new bailout to hatch,
A temporary saving plan,
Another short-term patch.

Their failing target this time 'round
Is once proud Lehman Brothers,
But down deep they and we all know
In the wings wait many others.
