Last week was a good one for Wall Street. But three years of falling stock prices and some very worrisome domestic and international situations facing markets today have left many investors shell shocked. This verse sums up their feelings.
Dead In The Water
Dead in the water the stock market lies,
Not hitting new bottoms, but far from new highs;
Each day that brings forth a new nasty surprise,
Makes hanging around seem less and less wise.
Dead in the water, the stock market lies.
Three years the investing wheel has ground,
Folks into the dirt, without a rebound;
Unless a great rally this year comes around,
To creditors I will forever be bound.
Dead in the water, not fiscally sound.
Stocks’ much hyped big paybacks are what I desire,
To fund my kids’ college, escape debt’s deep mire,
Avoid old age penury when I retire
And leave I large legacy when I expire.
All dead in the water, if markets misfire.
