I wish you a year of the ordinaries,
Unremarkable days and weeks;
Of modest upbeats over necessaries,
Devoid or deep troughs or great peaks.

I've learned at both levels, my own and the world's,
When projects arc toward the heroic;
More often than not, to bad outcomes we're hurled,
Seeking high deeds in Hungary?
Just stow it.
