Spirit Of Truth
by Thomas Dunne, 1996
The "Spirit Of Truth"-hooo-hum,
Here again, he's come!
Tis just 1,000 points ago
He pleaded and prayed for our dough.
In his deepest lunar-Jupiter-nebula vow,
He glimpsed the crumble of the pestilent Dow.
Creatures howl all the time, and some when there's an earthquake,
And so he posts all so often, hoping humbly for his lucky break.
He espies the tangled depth of each day
By minute reverberations in a pendel sway.
All that happens is a grace of lineation
Encompassed by his astral illumination.
Said "Spirit Of Truth:"
"And as history has well shown,
If you don't obey God and share,
Then His gifts may be taken away."
History has also proven many times over the test,
The metaphorical devil quotes and uses the Bible best
